We have implemented the ASA Complete Instrument Pilot syllabus-based training program in our curriculum. This comprehensive program encompasses all the essential information required to attain an Instrument Rating, thoroughly preparing you for your check ride. As part of our program, we supply all the necessary materials you will need throughout the course.
Upon receipt of your deposit, you will gain access to our online Ground School course, allowing your instructor to monitor your progress and customize your one-on-one ground school upon your arrival. This comprehensive course includes an e-book, over 10 hours of video presentations, and practice quizzes, better preparing you for your written knowledge exam compared to traditional ground schools. Before commencing the accelerated program, it is essential to pass the Instrument Rating FAA Written Knowledge Exam with an 85% or better score. Successfully completing our practice tests earns you a certificate to present testing center when taking the instrument knowledge.

The instrument rating requirements, as specified in 14 CFR 61.65, are summarized below. By the time you complete our accelerated program, you will have met all these requirements and be prepared to test for your Instrument Rating.
· Hold at least a current private pilot certificate or be concurrently applying for a private pilot
certificate with an airplane, helicopter, or powered-lift rating appropriate to the instrument
rating sought.
· Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
· Hold a current flight medical, at least third class.
· At least 50 hours of cross-country flight time as pilot in command. At least ten of these hours
must be in airplanes for an instrument-airplane rating. (cont.)
· A total of 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time on the areas of operation listed
in 61.65(c).
· At least 15 hours of instrument flight training from an authorized instructor in the aircraft
category for the instrument rating sought.
· A distance of at least 250 nm along airways or ATC-directed routing.
· An instrument approaches at each airport.
· Three different kinds of approaches with the use of navigation systems (Example: ILS, VOR,
GPS, etc.).
At least 3 hours of instrument training that is appropriate to the instrument rating sought from an authorized instructor in preparation for the check ride within two calendar months before the examination date.
