Commercial Pilot Add-on Rating
This program spans over a period of 6-7 days, encompassing 6 days of intensive training and concluding with a comprehensive check ride on the 7th day.
Throughout the duration of the program, you will actively engage with an instructor for 4-6 hours each day, with sessions scheduled continuously for 7 days. Specific time slots will be communicated prior to the commencement of the program. Daily activities will include 1-2 flights, accompanied by corresponding ground instruction and short breaks between flights. The curriculum strictly adheres to a syllabus, ensuring structured training for both you and your instructor. Expect daily homework assignments as the program is designed to be intensive.
Prerequisites:
1. Pass the FAA Commercial written test with a score of 85% or better. Optional: Two-Day Written
Test Prep Seminar available at an additional cost.
2. Possess a current US Passport or provide a Birth Certificate along with a government-issued ID.
3. Hold a USA third-class medical or better.
4. Have a current Biennial Flight Review logged.
5. Maintain VFR currency to the Private Pilot Practical Test Standards.
6. Accumulate a minimum of 240 hours total time, including Pilot in Command Cross Country time,
with specific logged experiences:
• One cross-country of 2 hours in a single-engine airplane in day VFR conditions, covering a total
straight-line distance of more than 100 nm from the departure point.
• One cross-country of 2 hours in a single-engine airplane in night VFR conditions, covering a total
straight-line distance of more than 100 nm from the departure point.
10 hours of solo flight in a single-engine airplane on Commercial Pilot areas of operation, including one cross-country flight of not less than 300 nm with landings at a minimum of 3 points, one of which is a straight-line distance of more than 250 nm. Also, 5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings at a controlled airport.

Programs commence on the 1st and 15th of every month. Failure to complete the written exam at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled start date may necessitate rescheduling. It is crucial to adhere to the timeline for the benefit of all students and our scheduling systems. Falling behind in your self-studying not only impacts your own success but also affects the schedules of other students, our instructors, and our aircraft. Kindly be aware that maintaining the proposed timelines is essential to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for everyone involved.
